Role PurposeTo conduct relevant Occupational Health assessments within the scope of practice and to ensure results are captured within the required turnaround time, whilst providing administrative support to the nurse practitioner.
Requirements

  • A National Senior Certificate is essential
  • Certification and sound practical knowledge in audiology, spirometry and vision testing is essential
  • Valid SASOHN membership
  • At least two years working experience in the Occupational Health field
  • Proven work experience in an administrative field; including financial management, bookings and co-ordination of services
  • A drivers licence is advantageous
  • Practical knowledge of Occupational Health principles
  • Office 365 proficiency
Duties & ResponsibilitiesPROCESS
  • Conduct spirometry, vision and audiology assessments.
  • Support the Nurse Practitioner with medical procedures.
  • Arrange appointments for patients and maintain the booking system.
  • Assist with follow-ups and queries relating to patient appointments.
  • Oversee and assist with the ordering, housekeeping and maintenance of occupational health stock.
  • Assist with Reception duties as needed.
  • Prepare for mobile onsite medicals, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available.
  • Assist with various financial administrative tasks such as generating proposals, invoice and payment follow-ups with clients and card machine and payment reconciliations.
  • Update and maintain the filing system on site.
  • Answer and direct incoming calls efficiently.
  • Ensure all data required for entry on the system is accurately captured.
CLIENT
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Deliver on service level agreements applicable to clients and internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure that client expectations are managed.
  • Make recommendations to improve client service and fair treatment of clients within area of responsibility.
  • Participate and contribute to a culture which builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback and provides exceptional client service.
FINANCE
  • Identify solutions to enhance cost effectiveness and increase operational efficiency.
  • Provide input into the risk identification processes development and communicate recommendations in the appropriate forum.
  • Continuously monitor turnaround times and quality standards and resolve issues speedily to enhance client service delivery.
  • Drive client service delivery goal achievement in line with predefined standards in order to ensure that clients receive appropriate advice and after sales service.
  • Manage client query processes and ensure that queries are tracked, accurately resolved and used as a mechanism to improve client service and business processes.

  • Build strong relationships through providing specialist know-how and leadership to others, expressing positive expectations.
  • Continuously develop own expertise in terms of industry and subject matter development and application thereof in an area of specialisation.
