Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Office Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the office, as well as providing hospitality services to employees, visitors, and clients. You will play a key role in ensuring the office environment is comfortable, welcoming, and professional, supporting daily operations through various cleaning and service-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities include:



Cleaning and Office Maintenance:



Regularly clean and maintain office areas, including desks, floors, windows, restrooms, kitchens, and meeting rooms. Ensure that all common areas (break rooms, lounge areas, corridors, etc.) are tidy and well-maintained throughout the day. Empty trash bins and manage recycling in accordance with company procedures. Clean and sanitize high-touch surfaces and ensure hygiene standards are consistently met. Stock and organize cleaning supplies and report any cleaning or maintenance issues to management.

Hospitality and Customer Service:



Provide hospitality services by preparing and serving lunches, beverages (e.g., coffee, tea, water) to employees and visitors, maintaining excellent presentation and service standards Set up meeting rooms and provide refreshments for meetings, conferences, or events. Greet visitors and assist them with their needs in a professional and friendly manner. Ensure hospitality areas (e.g., kitchens, break rooms) are always clean, well-stocked, and organized.

General Office Support:



Assist with canteen supplies and inventory management, ensuring items are stocked and reordered when needed. Support with other ad-hoc office tasks as required, such as organizing deliveries Maintain a welcoming and positive atmosphere throughout the office.

Qualifications and skills



Grade 12 certificate Previous experience in office assistance, cleaning, or hospitality. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized environment. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively. Ability to work independently and take initiative when necessary. Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies. Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor. Proactive attitude, with a commitment to ensuring the office environment is pleasant for all. Reliability and punctuality are essential. Good physical stamina, able to perform cleaning and organizing tasks efficiently.
