Job Description


Responsible for strategic project management, organizing and coordinating the CEOs office operations and procedures in order to ensure organisational effectiveness and efficiency.JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Ensuring the professional and timely dispatch and distribution of relevant correspondence;
  • Carry out research and relevant studies on specific topics related to business, policy and others as required and prepare reports on findings.
  • Receiving and welcoming guests for the CEO;
  • Scheduling of arrangements for the CEOs meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain all work-related information in the strictest confidence; this includes, but is not limited to communications, either direct or indirect; strategic information and employee specific personnel information. Any breach in confidentiality may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination;
  • Provide support to the Personal Assistant;
  • Drawing relevant files in preparation for meetings and engagements;
  • Running personal errands for the CEO as required;
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders telephonically, in person and in writing through the drafting of letters, documents, reports, faxes and e-mail messages;
  • Interpret and respond to email;
  • Strategic project management in the office of the CEO,
  • Organizing general staff meetings and overseeing the agenda, compilation and distribution of minutes with approval of the CEO;
  • Assist in preparations of EXCO and Board reports as required
  • Travel on behalf of CEO to attend some skills related meetings
  • Attend executive meetings with the CEO
  • In addition to these typical duties, may perform other duties as assigned and required
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • A relevant post graduate tertiary qualification in business, management, administration or similar
  • Project Management
  • Presentation Skills
  • Min 8 - 10 years work experience in a similar field
  • Relevant experience in the Fibre processing and manufacturing sub-sectors would be advantageous
  • Above-average understanding of Governments skills development initiatives and the mandate assigned to company
  • The ability to influence policy and engage with diverse stakeholders at the highest level
  • Sound knowledge of the PFMA, SDLA, NSDS, SAQA Act and other relevant legislation.
