Ensure that impactful, relevant, accurate and timely content is served to our stakeholders through the strategic management and operations of all online, website, social media, direct communications, articles, blog analytics, SEO, innovation and other related activities.
Delivering world class information and content in the best way to our audiences through strategic content development
Develop, plan, implement, manage and monitor the content strategy
Oversee the layout, appearance and content of all online platforms
Managing the content team (SEO & Innovations Specialist, Digital Co-ordinator, Journalist), freelance writers and experts
Ensure compliance and adherence to regulations and best practice
Understand our audience and what they want to read
Regular presentation of KPIs to EXCO through succinct reporting and visuals
Keep your fingers on the pulse of the latest trends, standards and best practices in online content #MindingYourBusiness
Final approval of all content before going live
Conceptualise and manage client campaigns that require online content with the sales team
Advise on bespoke digital strategies per platform, eliminate the copy/paste approach. Include a focus on storytelling and engaging content.
Create a content calendar with objectives for each platform and ensure it is populated by the team and approved.
Ensure content, artwork, design and photography is highly creative, engaging and evokes emotions. While ensuring brand consistency through copy, visuals, tone, voice and terminology.
Brainstorm and suggest content topics as determined by various analytics, public events and trends.
Manage and develop customer journeys and relationships with key content stakeholders (experts, writers, influencers, authors, PR agencies, brands for giveaways, engage audiences, onboarding new, etc.)
Ensure competitions are run and managed by team members.
Ensure that events, activations and promotions are captured and uploaded on the relevant platforms by team members.
Ensure compliance with various regulations - POPIA, CPA, Media Laws, Industry Ethical Guidelines, Privacy, Socials, Online etc.
Brief in/commission content from journalists, writers and experts
Proofread, debrief and edit content before going live, within timelines
Attend photo shoots, product launches and networking event
Managing feature articles
Keep record of all website content articles in supplied template.
Increase KPI's across all content (e.g. followers, engagements, clicks, visits)
Ensure the SEO strategy is delivered on
Identify networking opportunities for the CEO, Ops Director, Business Development Manager, GM and self
Support marketing activities
Stay on top of what competitors are doing
Ensure newsletters are executed timeously and inline with the brand
Work closely with EXCO to deliver on new opportunities
Weekly report of all activity to direct manager
Compile post analysis reports for areas of responsibility
Continual follow-ups on assigned projects (accountability)
Respond to email queries in a timely and professional manner
Adhere to set process and procedures for all areas
Ensure all that is actioned and executed is in line with the brand golden thread, across all divisions
Manage job related supplier relationships
A positive attitude is a must
Be a team player
Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standard
Other reasonable duties and special projects as assigned by management from time to time
