PermanentPlease note if you are an internal employee on a fixed term contract please apply using an external candidate profile and not your employee profileMAIN PURPOSE OF JOBER24 is currently recruiting for Ambulance Emergency Assistants (Intermediate Life Support) for various emergency medical services operations throughout South Africa.You will attend to emergency calls and provide intermediate medical care in line with scope of practice.REQUIRED EXPERIENCEESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE : 1 year EMS experienceDESIRED EXPERIENCE : 1 year ILS experienceREQUIRED EDUCATIONESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Ambulance Emergency Assistant Certificate or Higher certificate in Emergency Medical CareDESIRED EDUCATION: Successful completion of training related to Clinical Practice Guidelines published by the Health Professions Council of South Africa will be advantageous. If not compliant with the clinical practice guidelines at the time of application you will be required to complete this training during your probation period if successful in your applicationKEY RESPONSIBILITY AREASEnsure operational readiness for emergency callsAdminister patient care in line with scope of practiceMarket and maintain a positive public image for ER24REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Proficiency in the English language (written and verbal)
