Operational Manager Poultry

Skeerpoort Area North West: Our client is looking for an Operational Manager Poultry to join the team.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Diploma or degree beneficial but not essential
Min 5 years experience working on a poultry farm (egg layers or breeders) at management level
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Computer literate
Must be an energetic, quick start and follow through individual
Being maintenance orientated essential
Code 10 or higher driving license would be a bonus

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Managing and overseeing the rearing and production of layer hens
Assisted by a rearing manager and 2 production managers, as well as 4 production supervisors
Checking egg stock levels daily and balancing with pack station
Managing and overseeing the depopulation, transportation and loading of spent hens, balancing their numbers
Facilities preparation for receiving new chicks or hens, washing and maintenance team in place
On duty every second weekend
