About the Role:



We are seeking an experienced Operations and Marketing Manager to join our team in Cape Town. This unique role combines the strategic oversight of warehouse operations with the creative execution of marketing initiatives. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our warehouse while driving the implementation of innovative marketing strategies to support our rapidly growing FMCG business.



Key Responsibilities:



Operations Management:


Strategically control warehouse operations in line with company policies and objectives.

Oversee receiving, picking, packing, and distribution processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

Manage day-to-day warehouse activities, including scheduling, workload control, and cost management.

Ensure optimal space utilization and maintain an organized warehouse layout.

Conduct regular stock takes, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain accurate stock control systems.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards (OHS Act).

Produce monthly reports and statistics to track performance and identify areas for improvement.


Marketing Management:


Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing plan to support business objectives.

Plan and coordinate promotions, exhibitions, and events, working closely with suppliers and sales teams.

Manage social media platforms and digital marketing campaigns to enhance brand visibility.

Identify new marketing opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.

Recruit, train, and manage in-store promoters to drive brand engagement.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing strategies with overall business goals.


Requirements:


Minimum of 5 years' experience in warehouse operations and 2 years' experience in marketing, preferably within the FMCG sector.

Proficiency in inventory management software (experience with Pastel is an advantage).

Strong digital marketing skills and a creative mindset.

Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.

Own vehicle and willingness to travel as required.
