Job Description


We are thrilled to share that we are looking for 2 high-calibre undergraduate students to join our Africa and Indian Ocean (AIO) team on a 12-month placement. The AIO office is responsible for operational efficiencies within the AIO region.

From day one, our placement students are fully integrated into the AIO Regional Operations Team and are involved in different aspects of the business. Our placements offer vast exposure and opportunities, such as the opportunity to network with senior executives, involvement in regional conferences and for some, international travel.

Within the EMEA Corporate offices, you will be part of a cohort of 40+ Interns, working across various corporate teams within our region and involved in our leading intern programme. This includes regular connect meetings, short assignments and feedback sessions designed to support your development.

The Opportunity

As an AIO intern, you will play an active role in our continued success. You will carry out a range of administrative/support activities, as well as having ownership of your own project-based initiatives.

During this placement, you will support the team with a range of project management activities. It is a great opportunity to experience different departments, but also the various functions supporting hotels. As an intern, you will play an active role in our continued success. Some of the more specific responsibilities you will be taking on are detailed as follows.

  • Support the team with a range of activities to facilitate and deliver cross-functional projects across AIO, with the opportunity to contribute with your own ideas.
  • Recording and monitoring project deliverables to evaluate progress against KPIs.
  • Assist with communicating project updates and results to regional stakeholders.
  • Own and deliver on projects, monitoring and presenting findings back to the wider team.

What are we looking for?

As with any job, we do have certain criteria that you will need to meet to be considered for one of these highly sought-after opportunities. These are detailed as follows.
  • First and foremost, Hilton is a hospitality company, and we are looking for individuals with a strong sense of alignment to our culture and values.
  • Must be a graduate.
  • Must be available to start in May2024, for the full 12-month duration.
  • Must be fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Highly personable and able to demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in your approach to work.
  • You must demonstrate a genuine interest for hospitality.
