Job Description

We are looking for an Operations Manager who would run and oversee all day to day tasks and operational needs of 5 ice cream stores in Cape Town.

Our company falls under the Hospitality/Retail sector. We are a family-run business with a very hands-on approach. Our stores run efficiently, and our staff are disciplined. However, we are looking to increase this efficiency by ensuring greater stock control measures, better customer service and better trained staff. We are looking to become exceptional across all touchpoints. We want our stores to be the best they can be. We are a growing company who have been in the industry for 19 years.

The main role of this individual would be to ensure the smooth-running and efficient running of our current stores as well as any future stores that we open. This person would be working in a team consisting of other operations managers and an HR manager. The job can be demanding as our stores trade 365 days a year and are open from 9am-10pm daily. Weekends & holidays are our busiest times. We are dealing with customers and strive to ensure the highest and best level of services at all times- even at 10pm at night. Managing staff requires daily commitment and work. As demanding as it can be, remaining diligent, organized, meticulous and forward-thinking can ensure that the days runs smoothly no matter what obstacle comes your way.

This person would need to ensure that our company standards and procedures are upheld at all times.
