A leading comapny within the telecommunication industry seeks an Operation Manager to join their KZN team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient management of all operational requirements in the KZN region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the telecommunications industry. This role is critical to ensuring the operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with all strategic goals.Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Completed Matric Certificate
  • Any relevant tertiary qualification in Operations/Management/Project management will be advantageous
  • Minimum 3 years in a similar role in Operations/Project management in the telco industry
  • Valid license and own reliable vehicle is Essential!!
  • Must be in good health
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP/Software systems
  • Must be able to work occasional overtime.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Call Centre: monitoring TTR, error codes, technical assignments and checking JC actions items have been attended to
  • Technical: weekly meetings with technical managers to track call and installation completion
  • Sales: weekly meetings with sales managers to address any issues and concerns
  • Procurement: perform stock take checks, monitor the WIP and ensure all projects are invoiced and closed timeously
  • Installations: signing off deal files before being sent for invoicing, completing QC calls once installation is complete
  • Connectivity: join the weekly catch up meetings with the teams, approving SIM swaps according to guidelines
  • Finance: tracking fuel spend and querying discrepancies, ensuring relevant invoicing is correct, approving credit notes, monitoring SLAs for renewal
  • HR: monitoring time and attendance, raising performance and disciplinary issues with HR, conducting KPIs, managing leave requests
  • Health and Safety: ensuring the staff and environment complies with health and safety directives
  • Assist with customer service-related queries
  • Work closely with Technical/Procurement/Finance/ Sales departments
  • Daily housekeeping of calls, ensuring closure rate is met and maintained
  • Weekly housekeeping on WIP and Projects
  • Weekly meetings with Operations Director to discuss challenges and successes
  • Escalation point for the team
  • Adherence to procedures and processes
  • Focus on providing the customer with an excellent service experience
  • Assisting team during high volume periods
  • General administration and any ad-hoc duties as required
