*Internal Applicants only*PURPOSE OF THE JOB:Senwes Equipment is looking for an operations manager to oversee the operational activities and to ensure efficient execution and delivery of products and services.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOBSkills, Knowledge, and Critical Competencies:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Planning and Execution:
  • Develop and implement operational plans aligned with company objectives and strategic goals.
  • Coordinate with department heads to ensure seamless execution of operational activities.
  • Monitor performance metrics and KPIs to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assess resource requirements for operational activities, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
  • Allocate resources efficiently to optimise productivity and minimise costs.
  • Establish standardised processes and procedures to streamline operational workflows.
  • Communicate operational protocols clearly to relevant teams and stakeholders.
  • Regularly review performance metrics to identify trends, deviations, and areas for improvement.
  • Conduct regular assessments of operational workflows to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
  • Implement risk management strategies to mitigate operational risks and ensure business continuity.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback and suggestions from team members.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among operational teams, departments, and external stakeholders.
Sales Management:
  • Develop sales strategies and tactics to drive revenue growth and achieve targets.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify market opportunities and customer needs.
  • Monitor sales performance and analyse trends to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key clients and partners to enhance sales opportunities.
  • Develop sales forecasts and budgets in collaboration with the sales team.
  • Monitor customer feedback and market trends to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Participate in sales meetings and presentations to potential clients and stakeholders.
  • Analyse competitor activities and market conditions to develop competitive sales strategies.
  • Ensure alignment of sales activities with overall company objectives and targets.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies and make adjustments as necessary to optimise results.
Customer Satisfaction:
  • Analyse customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and address any issues or concerns.
  • Implement strategies to enhance customer experience and loyalty, such as personalised service and after-sales support.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to resolve customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.
  • Provide training and support to frontline staff to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Regularly communicate with customers to keep them informed about new products, services, and promotions.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices in customer satisfaction to continuously improve strategies and processes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers to understand their evolving needs and preferences.
  • Implement customer retention programs to incentivise repeat business and foster long-term relationships.
Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead and inspire a diverse team of operational staff across all departments to achieve organisational goals and objectives.
  • Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and expectations for team members to ensure accountability and alignment with company objectives.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement by encouraging open communication and knowledge sharing among team members.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of team members.
  • Manage team performance through regular feedback, performance evaluations, and recognition programs to motivate and engage employees.
  • Address any conflicts or issues that may arise within the team promptly and effectively, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Collaborate with HR to develop and implement talent management strategies, succession planning, and career development programs.
Quality Assurance and Control:
  • Implement quality assurance processes to maintain product and service standards,
  • Monitor and evaluate performance metrics to identify areas for improvement,
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Health and Safety Management:
  • Develop and implement occupational health and safety policies and procedures,
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness,
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
  • At least 7 years of experience in operational management roles within the agriculture or manufacturing industry
  • Proven track record in optimising operational processes and driving efficiency.
  • Strong leadership experience in managing diverse teams and fostering collaboration.
  • Relevant bachelors degree preferred)
  • Additional certifications in operations management or related fields are advantageous.
