Operations Manager

Well-established company based in Gauteng seeks an Operations Manager from construction / manufacturing to join their team!Minimum requirements:

Grade 12 (Matric) qualification required
A tertiary qualification in Production Management, Construction Management or Civil Engineering is advantageous
Minimum 5 years' experience in production management, ideally within a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities:

Oversee staff performance, development, and internal training, while identifying additional training needs.
Ensure adherence to environmental and safety standards in line with company policies.
Manage stock levels of raw materials, conduct regular stock checks, and report monthly variances.
Ensure raw materials and batched products meet quality specifications.
Supervise suppliers, sub-contractors, and ensure timely deliveries, maintaining a positive company image.
Oversee budget preparation, monitor expenses, and report on variances.
Maintain company assets, ensuring pumps and plants are used and serviced as per maintenance schedules.
Ensure customer sites are prepared for safe and efficient deliveries, especially for pumping requirements.
Collaborate with HR and management on staffing for production, pump, and maintenance roles.
