Non-profit company with a vision to provide children in South Africa, irrespective of their financial circumstances, access to a high standard of education through the company website platform, which is a supplementary learning tool that utilizes, and shares learning content donated by qualified teachers from some of the best schools in South Africa, to all students at no cost.The Company provides a safe digital space where students can learn at their own pace as well as prepare for a future of technology. The platform is created for students by a student, with the vision of inspiring hope of a brighter future for the youth of today.The Operations Manager should be an energetic, self-driven and proactive individual with a passion for social outreach and education.This position is a Cross Function between the Content Manager and Marketing.It will require you to function in an organised and coordinated manner with the Founder, Managing Director, Independent Contractors (Subject Specialists; Moderators; Editors etc), various Service Providers, Sponsors/Donors as well as Principals, teachers and students from partnering schools, recipient schools and organisations and will include a strong sales and marketing aspect.Requirements:

  • A tertiary education and experience in the education space is required.
  • The role will entail travel from time to time and will require you to have your own transport.
  • Relevant technical and practical skills in sales and marketing
  • Experience in the high school educational space
  • Digital proficiency - high level computer and social media skills
The content management role of the position requires you to undertake and oversee all aspects of organising, collecting, editing, categorising and uploading of learning content to its successful completion.This includes (but is not limited to) the following duties, functions and responsibilities:
  • Working closely with Subject Specialists to create the relevant content trees in line with SAGS and CAPS curriculum for grade 8 - 12 subjects
  • Creating relevant folders on hard drive and google drive for each grade/section/topic/lesson
  • Liaising and collecting learning content from donating schools and teachers in line with relevant processes
  • Organising and labelling content into the correct folders and transferring content accurately according to relevant procedures
  • Project management and tracking of all content and identifying and addressing areas that require the collection of additional resources
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Meeting subject launch targets and budgets
  • Marketing Milani Education to both contributing schools and teachers as well as recipient schools and students
  • Assisting the Milani Army Team events
  • Managing Content Editors (time sheets, quality of work, workload etc)
  • Managing and liaising with Moderators and Subject Specialists
  • Following the correct procedures to edit and upload content to the website
  • Checking and signing off on Independent Contractor timesheets
The marketing aspect of the role will require you to proactively identify and successfully collaborate with donor and recipient schools and other non-profit and/or educational organisations aligned with the companies vision. It may require you to engage with potential and existing funders.The marketing co-ordinator aspect of the role will require you to:
  • Assist in the develop of an overall marketing strategy and meet relevant targets eg student registration sign-ups
  • Analyse and report on platform analytics
  • Plan and manage all aspects of marketing events
  • Liaise with marketing specialists and website developers as required
  • Arrange marketing material - artwork, quotations, collection
  • Manage temporary staff assisting with marketing events
  • Advise and assist schools to successfully host after school learning sessions
  • Co-ordinate with other NPO's and digital learning centres to introduce and implement Milani
  • Assist with various aspects of fundraising initiatives
  • Manage and co-ordinate marketing roadshows and events
  • Create and develop public awareness through regular social media marketing and campaigns
