Requirements

• Degree (Logistics, Administration, Business Management) or related fields
• Own vehicle
• 3 years experience in courier and, or logistics in similar role
• Must have experience managing drivers, managing online deliveries and, or e-commerce business
• Must have experience and track record managing drivers and ground operations team
• Must have experience in retail and supervising different locations/ retailers in townships within Western Cape.

Duties and responsibilities

• Report directly to the Operations Executive
• Manage driver assistants, control room team as well as system administrators to ensure timeous delivery of orders and usage of the tech system
• Ensure goods are packed for customer allocation into vehicles
• Assisting in the achievement of company objectives and KPIs
• Tracking deliveries of orders
• Processing order confirmations quickly and effectively, liaising with other departments where necessary
• Monitoring and managing the fleet.
• Chasing drivers for overdue orders or other deliverables
• Management of customer service and fleet management
• Resolving issues where stock does not arrive exactly as it should.
• Processing and reporting incidents through the use of incident reports
• Maintaining all documents relating to the department process in accordance with the companyxe2x80x99s quality requirements
• Communicating informed risks within the business to key stakeholders
• Preparing presentations, reports and analysis.
• Supporting the function of this department
• Avoid delays on order pick up and delivery
• Prevent breakages of goods in transit
• Manage time and attendance of drivers and assistants
• Conduct spot checks on the teams on duty
• Ensure drivers login on time when they arrive at the designated work station at end client
• Assisting the driver with changing a puncture on route
• Assisting with picking of orders from store to vehicles if drivers are having challenges
