Operations Manager - Traffic and Transport - Cape Town Full job description Traffic engineering functions Staff management (including operators, supervisors, administrator etc.) Ensure regular, progressive, and level-appropriate training and supervision of staff. Encouraging teamwork Motivate staff Liaise with external stakeholders (law enforcement, emergency services etc.) Manage the operations functions such as: Shift Rostering KPI spreadsheet drafting, updating and evaluate Monthly reporting (progress report, operations report, occupational health and safety) Monthly meeting attendance (operations, stakeholders, debriefing sessions and technical) Rims steering committee (metro, winelands, overberg, provincial coordinating and advisory committee and national technical) Ensure and coordinate the overall operations performance Ensure that troubleshooting takes place for various traffic management centre equipment devices (i.e. Camera's, VMS's, etc.) Required: Certificate or diploma in call centre or traffic engineering or related field Minimum five years' experience within a traffic control management or engineering environment Conversant in at least two languages Computer Literacy: Microsoft Office, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Word Working knowledge of BCEA Attention to detail Good people skills Ability to cope with unusual work schedules Team player Strong communication and writing skills Good negotiation skills Valid driver's licence
