National group are seeking an experienced Operations Manager for their Witbank branch.RESPONSIBILITIES * Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.

• Complies with store operations, stock handling, and efficient receiving of stock.
• Safeguards store process, operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
• Writing incident reports in cases on non- compliance
• Controls stock accuracy levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
• Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
• Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
• Management of staff, maintains store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
• Maintains store job results by coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
• Process orders and liaise with customers and branch personnel.
• Compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Ensure that delivery deadlines are met.
• Efficient fleet management and cost efficient containment
• Ensure productive stock take and cycle count and daily gas count
• Cylinder reconciliation
• Back orders management
• Support sales team while on site and in the office to meet the branch financial targets

REQUIREMENTS * Grade 12

• 3 year tertiary qualification in Sales, Warehouse or Logistics
• 3+ years experience in a similar role within a warehouse or logistics environment
• Have a valid drivers license
• Have a good working understanding of warehouse stock management
• Target driven and results orientated
• Good customer service skills
• Be computer literate
• Have good interpersonal skills
• Analytical minded
• Good numeracy skills

RUMUNERATIONR20,000 To R25,000 (Basic negotiable on experience and qualification)
