Operations Scheduler - ParowFull job descriptionPURPOSEA scheduler ensures all bookings are loaded on MIS or other systems and schedules by optimizing routes and allocating drivers and vehicles to trips. The scheduler is responsible for collaborating with fleet, brand ambassadors & bookings agents to ensure all trips and changes are captured and optimized.1. GENERAL DESCRIPTIONA scheduler must plan and schedule the company transportation to ensure organizational objectives are met as instructed by management. Required to monitor MIS and assist the team leader and hub in managing the detailed transport activities, and proactively address scenarios in which there is a delay, changes, additional trips, breakdowns, or shortage of busses.2. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES2.1. Allocate all trips booked to a vehicle and drivera. Ensure all exceptions and customs on the system are managedb. Routes are optimized continuously as bookings change or get addedc. Ensure devices matching vehicles are populated with the necessary workd. Ensure scheduling efficiencies and proactively raise and address methods on continuous improvements2.2. Focus on route planning to ensure efficiency2.3. Monitor MIS system and report all system errors as well as make corrections2.4. Manage MIS to ensure data accuracy2.5. Monitor device issues and ensure proper device maintenance records2.6. Assist in monitoring all trips to ensure on time2.7. Act where necessary to improve customer experience and support drivers in doing so2.8. Ensure all trips are recorded to be invoiced2.9. Liaise with drivers, sub-contractors, and hub on operational matters, routes, and requests2.10. Allocate vehicles using fleetio or a similar system2.11. Keep the Team Leader informed of the state of operations2.12. Keep excellent records of operations activity and monitor the fair distribution of work2.13. Report any instance of adverse customer service2.14. Any other task the company may reasonably ask you to undertake2.15. Checking that trips are correctly completed on MIS2.16. Identify operational training needs2.17. Support drivers and team in the event of an accident to comply with company procedures3. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED3.1.
