A Leading Travel Company based in Sandton is looking for a Travel Operations Specialist for a contract role.Experience required:Must have at least 3 or more years of tour operating experienceTourplan experience is an advantageWetu experience is an advantageGood knowledge of any of the destinations within South, Southern and East AfricaAn in-depth geographical, logistical and product knowledge of two of the following regions: South, Southern and East AfricaGood understanding of delivering excellent service to Travel Planner/guestsAn in-depth knowledge of Tourplan or a similar booking systemUnderstanding of the travel industry through study or work experienceMarket knowledge and how it operatesAttention to detail is extremely vitalTeamwork and interpersonal skillsConflict management and resolutionPaperless filing and Database filing and managementDuties include:Constant, consistent interaction and clear communication with colleagues, agents, operators, guests and suppliers, telephonically and via emailManaging the reservations process including handling bookings from confirmed to finalising, including invoicing and travel documentsEnsuring turnaround times are strictly adhered to according to standard operating practicesSaturday duty on a rotation basisPublic Holiday duty on a rotation basisBackup for colleagues when they are away from the officeExpanding product knowledge through attending training sessionsUpholding the values of the company
