About the job

Our FMCG company operating in the personal care area, is looking for an energetic, driven individual who will take up the role of Operations Graduate. The ideal candidate will be interested in the FMCG industry and production, procurement and logistics. The candidate must demonstrate initiative and will be responsible for placing and coordinating orders, interacting with suppliers and being an essential link between procurement and production. The position is based in Paarden Eiland, Cape Town and relocation would be required should the candidate currently reside outside of Cape Town.

The start date is flexible depending on availability of the successful candidate taking into account final exams for example.

Responsibilities:

This is a graduate role, and such you will be expected to perform in all areas listed:

Production:

Compile weekly production reports (Open Jobs, Manufacturing Variance & Wastage Reports) Investigate variance from the reports. Assist with Opening and Closing of Jobs on Xperdyte
Procurement:

Run MRP (Material Requirement Planning) on Xperdyte Create Purchase Orders and send it to Suppliers Negotiate prices with supplier Follow up with suppliers to ensure we get deliveries on time Moniter the status of imports
Inventory Control:

Assist with stock takes, cycle counts and Import counts. Investigate discrepancies in stock levels. Assist with receiving of deliveries.
Costings:

Assist the CEO with costings
Project Implementation:

Provide initiatives for continuous improvement of all the above-mentioned aspects.

Minimum Requirements:

Recent graduate. BCom Degree with marketing, financial management or finance, business management, supply chain, logistics, etc. Ideal candidate will have modules in Accounting/Cost Accountancy Matric Mathematics (not Literacy) or University mathematics. Microsoft Office: good Excel Skills (formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables) High Numerical Skills and Organisational skills. Good general knowledge and an eagerness to learn. Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Interest in FMCG and Supply Chain/Logistics/Imports/Procurement Full COVID 19 vaccination. Drivers licence and own vehicle
Start date March 2025 or earlier depending on availability.

Pay: From R15000,00 per month
