Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 or equivalent NQF4

Diagnostic competency assessment

Machine Operation experience in IWS and Berg Cheese advantageous

Tertiary qualification in Operations, Quality Management advantageous Business English: Fluent 2-5yrs relevant experience (FMCG/Food Production) in applying job related concepts, techniques, and processes at the required level

Duties and Responsibilities

Operate, monitor and control plant processes

Operate processing equipment in line with standard operating procedure (SOP) Assist with efficiency improvement and/or reduction of operating costs

- Maintain adequate records of key production variables, such as: production volume & yield, plant up- and down-time, utility consumption etc. on a daily, weekly or monthly basis as required

Participate in programs and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness Monitor usage and inventories of process chemicals and supplies & minimize loss on machines Ensure quality assurance Ensure integrity of raw materials and product Maintain production records Understand and interpret QA results and take appropriate action when required Assist with plant maintenance and safety program Communicate equipment related problems directly to the maintenance department Perform preventative maintenance activities as required Conduct cleaning in place (CIP) and prepare equipment for sanitation * Assist with diagnosing and troubleshooting maintenance-related issues
