Job Summary
Minimum requirements for the role:

  • Must have a tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology or a related field
  • A post-graduate qualification in OD would be ideal
  • Minimum 3 years OD and Managerial experience will be required
  • Must have proven knowledge of Organisation Development/HR Principles
  • The ability to manage staff in ways that improve their ability to succeed is essential for this role
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and ideally have experience in SAP SuccessFactors
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel occasionally
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Conducting job analysis and evaluations and development of job profiling.
  • Implementing and maintaining the job grading system.
  • Creating a competency model.
  • Identifying performance targets and linking with job profiles.
  • Developing methods of measuring if performance management aligns with organisational goals.
  • Developing, reviewing and implementing performance management policies and procedures.
  • Guiding management on performance appraisal and management principles.
  • Assisting management to create project timelines and deadlines.
  • Designing and implementing succession planning in line with companys talent management framework.
  • Guiding management on succession and career development to ensure the sustainability of the business.
  • Providing input into employee risk movement and developing strategic plan to ensure higher retention rate.
  • Developing, reviewing and implementing succession planning policies and procedures.
  • Evaluating job satisfaction and corporate culture through climate surveys.
  • Developing and implementing action plans to prevent high employee turnover.
  • Designing and implementing competency-based assessment and analyses.
  • Compiling appropriate test batteries for different assessment purposes and according to competency requirements.
  • Obtaining quotes from suppliers when required and considering costing when suggesting assessments.
  • Interpreting results obtained from assessments and utilising information in an ethical manner.
  • Providing feedback on assessment results to relevant members of the HR team, Department Heads, as well as respondents.
  • Utilising the information obtained from assessments in order to suggest and implement relevant HR interventions.
  • Facilitating team building, group forming, strategic planning, and training sessions to ensure cohesive functioning of teams.
  • Diagnosing potential organisational problem areas and liaising with management to implement strategies countering concerns.
  • Developing and driving change management initiatives.
  • Responding to and assisting any Stakeholders with any query related to the Learning Management System and Performance Management & Succession.
  • Assisting with monthly regional and departmental reporting.
  • Compiling monthly training reports for the Group Organisational Development Manager.
  • Preparing and maintaining budget reports to justify expenditures.
  • Ensuring accurate and up-to-date data capturing and filing according to department standards.
