The Practical Workplace Experiential Programme provides work experience to students who study towards and who have successfully completed all the theory components in Engineering qualifications at a Technicon or University of Technology. The programme is composed of practical workplace exposure P1 for 6 months and P2 for 6 months.P1/P2 Workplace Experience Programs available for the following disciplines:
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering (Light current)/Instrumentation
In this role you will be responsible for:
  • The incumbent will enter a work integrated learning (WIL) program with the MQA and will obtain working experience in their qualification discipline field at Glencore Boshoek Smelter
  • The candidate will undergo practical training and exposure at the premises of the company
  • Compliance with the companyxe2x80x99s HSEC system is essential.
About you:
  • Grade 12
  • Must have completed all S1- S4 theory components of the qualification and only require the practical workplace experience component to complete the qualification for specified disciplines above
  • Be in a possession of a completion letter from the institution confirming the incumbent meets the WIL requirements. Applications without the completion letter will NOT be considered.
  • Computer Literate (MS Office)
  • Proficient in English written language
  • Achievement driven, accurate and timeous completion of assignments (result driven)
Ability to function independently with good interpersonal skills
