Packhouse Operations Coordinator Fresh Produce

Job Description
A highly successful Agri-business in retail and wholesale, specialises in fresh produce, bakery and meat, they are expanding and are seeking a Packhouse Operations/Supply Chain Coordinator in the fresh produce division.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Supply Chain/Operations Manager daily execution of all operations relating to receiving of produce, logistics, quality assurance and compliance;
- Effectively communicate with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries, excellent product quality, continuous improvement for cost reductions and improving lead times.
- Stock flow and management.
- Manage purchase orders, invoicing (GRV) and contracts in ERP system (ARCH system)
- Managing CHEP reconciliations and assisting with account queries
- Managing HR related queries with regards to packhouse, store and floor staff including off schedules/ leave schedules and weekly timesheets
- Signing off all invoices and double checking statements, negotiating payment terms per supplier.
- Improve efficiency on operational level.
- Tertiary qualification in an applicable field, i.e. agriculture, supply chain management, or related.
- 1-3 years' work experience in similar field, or FMCG.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritise workload.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and collaborative approach.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
