A company in George is urgently looking for a Paint & Hardware experienced Sales Representative.Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development:
Actively seek out and engage with prospective customers in the paint and hardware industries.
Promote and sell paint, hardware, and associated products to retailers, contractors, and DIY customers.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Conduct market research to identify potential new clients and sales opportunities.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
Provide product knowledge and advice to customers, ensuring they receive the right products for their needs.
Respond to customer inquiries, provide quotes, and follow up on sales leads.
Handle customer complaints and provide solutions promptly.
Product Knowledge & Training:
Stay updated on the latest trends and products within the paint and hardware industry.
Attend training sessions to keep up with product developments and new offerings.
Provide product demonstrations and training to customers where necessary.
Reporting & Administration:
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunities in the CRM system.
Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for the Sales Manager.
Track competitor activities and report market trends.
Inventory & Logistics Coordination:
Liaise with the warehouse and supply chain teams to ensure product availability and timely delivery to customers.
Monitor inventory levels of key products and place orders when necessary.
Requirements:
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience in sales within the paint or hardware industry.
Knowledge of paint products, hardware tools, and accessories.
Experience in building and maintaining customer relationships in a sales-driven environment.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. A diploma in Sales, Marketing, or a related field is a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong sales and negotiation skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Ability to work independently, set priorities, and manage time effectively.
Knowledge of CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Other Requirements:
Valid drivers license and own reliable vehicle.
Willingness to travel within assigned territory.
