Job Description


Our client in Kempton Park is seeking the services of a dynamic results-driven Paper Sales Representative to join their team.
The incumbent will drive the Paper sales process from start to finish, leveraging their knowledge of products, markets, and customer needs.
The Paper Sales Representative will report into the Sales Structure
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  • Maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure that they receive exceptional service and to identify potential new sales opportunities
  • Identify prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business (Sale of Paper)
  • Maintaining regular communication with the planning, production, and logistics departments ensuring efficient order fulfillment. You will be responsible for managing daily delivery and collection schedules, as well as negotiating, preparing, and sending accurate price quotations to potential customers based on their specific requirements and your company's pricing guidelines.
  • Possess in-depth product knowledge and be able to customer queries and complaints.
  • Deliver Sales Goals and provide accurate weekly sales forecasts.
  • Contract management is another key aspect of the role you will have in communicating new customer agreements, maintaining meticulous records, and ensuring proper filing and organization of all sales documents. Invoicing and tracking customer orders, responding to inquiries and requests for product information in a timely and professional manner, and providing weekly sales reporting are also critical responsibilities.

  • Highly skilled at building and maintaining effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders and customers.
  • Sound negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Analytical, numerically astute with strong proven problem identification and abilities.
  • Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against sales targets.
  • Commercially and financially aware.
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A developed and strong foundation of function skills and knowledge of relevant products and sales concepts.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent
  • Proven sales experience.
  • Drivers license and own vehicle
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office, Excel, ERP (Syspro preferable but any ERP system exposure is acceptable)
