Job Description


Minimum requirements for the role:

  • Must have a degree in law, legal studies, or a related field
  • Paralegal certification or equivalent legal qualification is advantageous
  • Previous experience as a paralegal in residential property or conveyancing is essential
  • Familiarity with the conveyancing process and residential property law in the assigned jurisdiction is required
  • Proficiency in legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must have strong drafting skills with attention to detail in legal documentation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to explain complex legal matters in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently
  • Must have strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Must be able and willing to work UK office hours
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Assisting in the management of residential property transactions from inception to completion.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and managing legal documents related to residential property sales, purchases, and leases, including contracts, transfers, and mortgage documents.
  • Conducting due diligence, including reviewing title deeds, conducting searches, and liaising with relevant authorities.
  • Drafting correspondence and reports to clients, lenders, and other stakeholders.
  • Liaising directly with clients, providing regular updates on the progress of their transactions.
  • Responding to client inquiries and resolving issues related to residential property matters promptly.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Client (KYC) requirements.
  • Identifying and mitigating potential risks in property transactions.
  • Maintaining and organizing case files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Coordinating and scheduling meetings, client consultations, and property viewings.
  • Assisting with billing, invoicing, and other financial tasks as needed.
  • Working closely with solicitors, conveyancers, and other legal professionals to ensure seamless transaction processing.
  • Coordinating with external parties such as estate agents, mortgage brokers, and surveyors.
