Job Description


KEY RESPONSIBILITES

  • Responds to the scene of all emergency calls expediently and in accordance with current policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Performs prompt and effective first response, triage, stabilization, optimal patient package and transfer as required
  • Operates within written protocols, recognizing the limits of his or her own abilities and initiating measures to augment the emergency response when appropriate
  • Provides high-level, evidence-based patient care in accordance with current guidelines and doctors orders
  • Competently administers and dispenses medication, always ensuring clinical safety and compliance with medicines management practices
  • Records patient care documentation that is concise, timely, and complete.
  • Maintains excellent customer focus in all interactions, and always portrays a positive image of the brand to all guests, officers, and crew
  • Regularly participates in teaching and training of non-medical staff such as stretcher party, front desk, and medical administrator
  • Always carries the First Responder emergency bag on his or her person when on-call to respond to emergencies immediately and directly
  • Actively participates in the delivery of crew preventative health programs
QUALIFICATIONS
  • HPCSA CERTIFIED
  • 2 years post registration experience in clinical practice
  • ANT, AEA,ECP,ECT,CCA,NDIP(NFQ7), DICEMC(NFQ6), BTECH/BEMC EMERCENCY MEDICAL CARE, DIPEMC PARAMEDIC, ECA
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED
  • Valid South African Passport
  • Police Clearance
