Job Description


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Pastry Chef in preparing and presenting desserts, pastries, and baked goods according to lodge standards.
  • Contributing to menu planning and development of new pastry items.
  • Ensuring adherence to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the pastry section.
  • Collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
  • Adhering to health and safety standards in food preparation and storage.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie or similar role in a fine dining restaurant or luxury hotel.
  • Solid understanding of pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
  • Creative flair and ability to innovate within established guidelines.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Culinary certification or diploma in pastry arts is preferred.
  • Experience in a 5-star hotel or game lodge environment is advantageous.
