Job Description


Job Summary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present a variety of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
  • Work closely with the Executive Pastry Chef to develop new and innovative pastry concepts and menus.
  • Maintain consistency in product quality and presentation, ensuring all pastries meet the hotels 5-star standards.
  • Supervise and train junior pastry staff, ensuring proper techniques and safety standards are followed.
  • Ensure the kitchen is stocked with necessary ingredients and supplies, managing inventory efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to hygiene and safety regulations.
  • Assist in managing food costs and minimizing waste while ensuring quality production.
  • Collaborate with the broader kitchen team to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie or in a similar role in a fine dining or 5-star hotel environment.
  • Strong expertise in pastry techniques, dessert preparation, and baking.
  • A passion for pastry arts with a creative flair and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience in pastry and baking.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
