Job SummaryKey Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present high-quality pastry items including plated desserts, breads, tarts, cakes, and pastries
  • Support the Head Pastry Chef and Executive Chef with menu development and seasonal specials
  • Maintain consistency, creativity, and high presentation standards in all pastry offerings
  • Ensure cleanliness, organisation, and compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
  • Monitor and control stock, ordering, and wastage within the pastry section
  • Supervise and mentor junior pastry staff and trainees when required
  • Work collaboratively with the broader kitchen team to ensure smooth service
Requirements
  • Culinary or pastry qualification from a recognised institution
  • Minimum 2xe2x80x933 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a similar role, preferably in a 5-star lodge or fine dining environment
  • Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary pastry techniques
  • High attention to detail, creativity, and a passion for presentation
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Flexible and willing to work split shifts, weekends, and public holidays
  • Knowledge of dietary requirements and allergen-friendly baking is an advantage
