Job Summary Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and prepare a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts, ensuring exceptional taste and presentation.
  • Develop and test new recipes and dessert concepts in line with current trends and guest preferences.
  • Manage inventory and order supplies as needed, maintaining optimal stock levels.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen.
  • Supervise and mentor junior pastry staff, providing training and guidance.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create customized desserts for special events and functions.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end hotel or restaurant environment, with a strong portfolio of pastry and dessert creations.
  • Formal culinary training or equivalent certification in pastry arts.
  • Exceptional skills in pastry techniques, including cake decoration, chocolate work, and bread making.
  • Creative flair and the ability to develop innovative dessert concepts.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
