Responsibilities:

Design and prepare a diverse range of pastries and desserts, ensuring exceptional taste and presentation.
Develop and update pastry menus to reflect seasonal ingredients and current trends.
Manage inventory, including sourcing high-quality ingredients and ensuring proper stock levels.
Maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment and adhere to food safety and sanitation standards.
Train, mentor, and supervise pastry staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff and departments to ensure seamless service and integration with overall menu offerings.
Monitor and control food costs, ensuring efficient use of ingredients and minimizing waste.
Stay abreast of industry trends and continuously seek opportunities to innovate and enhance dessert offerings.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, ideally within a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant.
Culinary degree or equivalent professional training.
Exceptional skills in pastry and dessert preparation with a creative flair for elegant and innovative presentations.
Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredient functionality, and food safety standards.
Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong leadership abilities and the capability to manage and inspire a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
