This includes ensuring efficient patient registration, admissions, discharge processes, medical records management, and customer service. The role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.KEY WORK OUTPUT AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:1. Patient Registration and Admissions:Supervise the patient registration and admissions processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.Coordinate with clinical departments to facilitate smooth patient admissions and transfers.Ensure that all patient information is accurately recorded and updated in the hospitals information system.2. Discharge Planning:Oversee the patient discharge process, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.Collaborate with healthcare providers to arrange post-discharge services and follow-up care as needed.3. Medical Records Management:Manage the medical records department, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.Ensure secure storage, retrieval, and archiving of patient records.Implement and maintain electronic health records (EHR) systems.4. Customer Service:Develop and maintain high standards of customer service to enhance patient satisfaction.Address patient concerns and complaints promptly and effectively.Train staff on customer service best practices.5. Team Management:Lead and manage a team of administrative staff, providing training, support, and performance evaluations.Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for patient administration functions.Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.6. Compliance and Reporting:Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and hospital policies.Prepare and present regular reports on patient administration metrics to senior management.Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives.7. Financial Management:Oversee billing and insurance processing to ensure accurate and timely payments.Work with the finance department to manage patient accounts and resolve billing issues.REQUIREMENTSBachelors degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
