Job Description

Job Summary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Design and evaluate pavement structures for various transportation projects.
• Conduct site investigations and assessments to determine soil and material properties.
• Utilize pavement design software to model and analyse pavement performance.
• Collaborate with project teams to develop specifications, plans, and construction documents.
• Monitor construction processes to ensure compliance with design standards and specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance evaluations and develop pavement management plans.
• Analyse traffic patterns and environmental impacts to inform design decisions.
• Prepare technical reports and present findings to stakeholders and clients.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (BEng, BSc or BTech).
• Registered as a Candidate Engineer with ECSA; Professional Engineer (PrEng) registration is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in pavement engineering, with a solid portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in pavement design software such as AASHTO, KENPAVE, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of materials, construction methods, and pavement management systems.
• Excellent project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• A proactive and adaptable mindset, able to work independently and as part of a team.
