Payroll/ Accounts AdministratorArea: GermistonPayroll Administrator/AccountsResponsibilities:

  • End to end processing of company payroll for wage staff.
  • Calculate bonuses and allowances.
  • Some accounting functions such as creditors.
  • Collate payroll information, process, produce reports and file accordingly.
  • Prepare monthly summaries of payments and deductions.
  • Prepare and remit monthly contributions.
  • Prepare all payroll related reports for the manager.
  • Input new employees and terminations on the system, as well as changes to information.
  • Handling staff queries regarding payroll.
  • Run month end processes.
  • Prepare and maintain related payroll records and reports.
  • Work closely with Human resources.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records.
  • Year-end processing and reconciliation including payment summaries.
  • Ad hoc HR and payroll matters.
  • Perform any other reasonable tasks as assigned by direct manager.
  • Complete monthly SITE, PAYE, medical aid, industrial council, union returns.
  • EMP501 calculations and submissions on e-filing.
Qualification and skills required:
  • Grade 12
  • 2 - 5 years experience in payroll.
  • Payroll qualification.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel is essential.
  • Sage Pastel payroll is a must.
  • Strong administration and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work without supervision, under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Industry knowledge of MEIBC Main Agreement.
