We're on the lookout for a dynamic professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and managing the monthly payroll for our SA entity as well as assisting our UK counterpart. The position is based within the Century City, Cape Town.Responsibilities:

  • Processing monthly payroll and submitting it to our external providers.
  • Ensuring accurate recording of overtime, medical aid and pension movements, taxable benefits, and all ad-hoc items.
  • Keeping loan schedule and tax rates up to date
  • Coordinating with our People & Talent team for the onboarding and offboarding of staff members.
  • Serving as the primary contact for our Payroll, Medical, and Pension providers.
  • Managing the payroll mailbox and addressing any queries promptly as they arise.
  • Preparing and posting the monthly payroll journal in the accounting system, including distributing recharges to our UK entity.
  • Completing quarterly payroll reconciliation and proactively investigating any discrepancies.
  • Assisting with various reports such as Workers Compensation, Government Statistics (for both SA and UK), BBBEE, Employment Equity
  • Aiding our People and Talent team with UI19 forms and any UIF-related queries.
  • Addressing audit-related inquiries.
  • Monitoring processes continuously and providing recommendations for improvements.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Relevant qualifications in Payroll
  • Experience within a similar environment
  • Exposure to both SA and UK payroll
  • Exposure to high volumes of data processing
  • Proficient, experienced, and knowledgeable of employee taxes
  • Good understanding of the Basic Conditions of Employment (BCEA)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive approach and can-do attitude.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Good reconciliation skills
