Performing routine clerical duties including the processing of mail, filing, photocopying, faxing, data entry, scheduling of meetings related to recruitment procedures.
Receipt of timesheets
Capturing and processing of all necessary data
Run a weekly, bi weekly and monthly payroll from beginning to end
Gather, obtain and analyze payroll input for processing from various operating points.
Prepare weekly and monthly payrolls including deductions and earnings for approximately 500 employees at any given time (This includes the entire cycle of payroll processing, from capturing of new employees, leave, terminations and processing authorized claims)
Check and upload payroll data to the VIP System Sage VIP People (latest version)
Review and ensure accuracy of approved advances, travel, overtime claims and other variable earnings
Work closely with the HR Team in operating branches and the Accounting section to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
MS Office particularly Excel
Functional Knowledge of BCEA and employment tax legislation in relation to payroll practices
VIP Payroll Systems (Specifically Sage VIP People)
Solid knowledge of employee benefits and payroll administration
Attention to detail, methodical and accurate
Taking accountability for tasks and see them through to completion timeously
Entry level qualification Grade 12 with Accounting and or Mathematics
NQF 5 or appropriate Diploma or Degree preferably in Payroll Management or Accounting.
Min of 3 years experience within a relatively large payroll set-up
