We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Group Payroll Manager with expertise in VIP Premier, Excel to manage and oversee the payroll function. This role requires a strong payroll professional who can ensure the accurate, timely processing of payroll while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations. The Group Payroll Manager will play a critical role in ensuring smooth payroll operations.Duties & ResponsibilitiesManage the end-to-end payroll process using VIP Premier, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for all employees.Oversee payroll processing activities, ensuring compliance with payroll legislation, tax requirements, and benefits regulations, including creating flexi exports and macro imports.Collaborate closely with HR, Operations, and Finance teams to maintain accurate employee records and process payroll taxes, deductions, and benefits.Provide guidance and support to the payroll team, ensuring high-quality work and timely completion of tasks.Monitor payroll-related queries from employees, ensuring any discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.Assist with the continuous improvement of payroll systems and processes, suggesting and implementing optimizations to reduce errors and increase efficiency.Generate and review payroll reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and assist with internal and external audits as required.Ensure the confidentiality and security of payroll data at all times.Desired Experience & QualificationPayroll certification in SAGE 300/VIP Premier. A tertiary qualification in Payroll Management will be advantageous.A minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll administration, with at least 3 years of experience using VIP Premier systems.Proficiency in EasyFile and E-Filing, EMP201s, and EMP501s.Strong knowledge of payroll best practices, tax laws, and employment regulations.Knowledge of bargaining councils.Proven experience in handling the complete payroll cycle and managing complex payroll matters.Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive payroll information with confidentiality and discretion.Personal Attributes:Strong organizational and time management skills.A proactive and solution-oriented mindset with a high level of accountability.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Strong leadership abilities, with the capacity to mentor and guide payroll staff.Adaptable and able to manage changes in a dynamic environment.
