Job Description
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field; Masters degree preferred.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is highly desirable.
- Extensive experience in payroll management, specifically within the manufacturing sector.
- Strong knowledge of South African payroll legislation and taxation.
- Proficient in payroll software and systems, particularly those used in manufacturing.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with an analytical mindset.
- Manage the complete payroll function for the organization ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for payroll processing.
- Oversee the calculation of wages, overtime, and deductions to ensure compliance with federal and state laws.
- Ensure that payroll systems are updated in accordance with new legislation and company policies.
- Handle the payroll accounting, reconciliations, and ensure that all financial transactions are correctly recorded.
- Supervise and mentor the payroll team, fostering a collaborative and efficient workplace.
- Liaise with HR and Finance to enhance information sharing and process integration.
- Prepare detailed reports on payroll matters for senior management.
