Job SummaryThe Payroll Manager will oversee and supervise the wage department and be responsible in ensuring that wages are processed on time, accurately and in compliance with respective government regulations
Approximately 5000 employees in multiple countries paid in respective currenciesRequirements:
- Degree in related field will be an advantage (BCom Accounting/ similar)
- 15 xe2x80x93 20 years of payroll experience required (preferably covering RSA and Africa)
- Min 5 years of payroll management experience essential
- Min 5 years SAGE 300 payroll experience essential
- Strong accounting skills an advantage
- Manage and supervise payroll team of 8 xe2x80x93 10 employees
- Implement, maintain and review payroll processing systems
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations and change to pay rates.
- Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors (internal / external / DoL)
- Maintain payroll company/ies system setup and rules
- Statutory monthly and annual reports
- Extensive knowledge of payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control and payroll taxes
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Ability to work with and protect confidential information
- Proficient with SAGE payroll software
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
