Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 / National Certificate - Essential
Diploma or Degree in Payroll, HR, Finance or Accounting (preferred but not required).
2 - 3 years' experience in HR Operations advantageous.
1 year experience in Payroll Operations preferred.
Intermediate Computer Literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience in working with Payroll Software.
Knowledge of the Main Agreement (Advantageous)
Knowledge of the Metal and Engineering Industries - Main Agreement (Advantageous)
Ability to handle confidential information is essential

Duties and Responsibilities
Capture and process payroll inputs accurately and on time.
Ensure correct deductions (TAX, pension, medical-aid, third party deductions) are applied.
perform payroll checks and flag anomalies against inputs received.
Conduct payroll reconciliations and resolve discrepancies with HR.
Compile monthly payroll reports and variance analyses.
Maintain non-permanent payroll and contract terminations.
Distribute payslips and communicate payroll changes to stakeholders.
Support HR with payroll related queries and compliance matters.
Ensure compliance with work rules, standards, and cost saving initiatives.
Verify and process payroll documentation with correct approvals.
Liase with branches to correct incomplete or non-compliant documents.
Maintain accurate filing and secure payroll records for audit purposes.
Ensure employee data integrity on payroll systems.
Assist with IRP5 distribution and audit documentation.
Provide support to HR during annual leave reconciliations to maintain accurate leave balances.
