Job Description
Currently we are searching for a Payroll Officer for Johannesburg, South Africa. Responsibilities of this Post: * Approval of monthly payroll at Director and Finance Manager, prior to processing.
- Accurately process payrolls for all employees on a monthly basis.
- Notify and follow up with Management on expense claims submitted by employees.
- Handle adjustments, deductions, bonuses, and other payroll-related changes.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including tax filings and reporting.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records in the system.
- Submit monthly payroll report to Finance Manager for review of captured inputs.
- Ensure the payroll system is configured correctly and up to date with the latest regulations.
- Provide assistance with payroll issues, discrepancies, and questions.
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to the HR Manager, Finance Manager and other stakeholders.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in payroll administration.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, laws, and regulations.
- Proven experience with SAGE payroll systems or similar software is required.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
