OVERALL PURPOSE





We are looking for a strategic, dynamic and forward thinking People Business Partner committed to building a high performing organisational culture where people thrive and do their best work. As a People Business Partner, you will partner closely with leadership and act as a trusted business advisor by providing guidance, support and input on people, organisational and business matters. You will collaborate with the wider People team to design and implement people related projects, processes, practices and initiatives that support strategic business priorities and enhance the Lula culture and capabilities.


In this role, you will support our Operational teams, namely Sales, Customer Success, Credit, Collections and Business Development.


ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES




Act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor that builds strong relationships with leaders and their teams to support with achieving business goals. Be present and available to engage with all employees and respond to team needs in a timely manner. Spend time with people and develop a deep understanding of team objectives in order to create effective team structures and facilitate interventions that will improve team morale, effectiveness and performance.

Design, implement and reinforce policies, programmes, frameworks (e.g., KPI setting, OKRs, Growth Plans) and other people experience projects that reinforce Lula's culture and the overall achievement of business goals and objectives. Work with senior leadership to drive effective performance management, recognition, employee development, and retention strategies. Collaborate with management to identify and address employee training and development needs, providing coaching and guidance on career progression and development opportunities. Improve management's leadership capability through continuous coaching on effective management and leadership practices. Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, poor performance and disciplinary processes in line with Lula policies, ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations. Collaborate with the relevant Talent Acquisition Partners on hiring strategies that will ensure that Lula attracts high performing individuals to be placed in the right positions to meet current and future business needs. Analyse people related data to identify trends, develop meaningful insights, and deliver proactive solutions to enhance employee engagement, productivity, and retention. Stay current on HR trends and best practices, sharing knowledge and insights with the team and business leaders.

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR




Bachelor's degree in Organisational Psychology or Human Resource Management. Honours degree in Organisational Psychology or Human Resource Management is advantageous. 3 - 5 years experience as a HR Business Partner Solid knowledge of managing Employee Relations in alignment with the South African labour law. Business acumen, the ability to develop and implement HR programs and initiatives aligned with business objectives and a strong understanding of HR metrics. Demonstrated experience in providing people and culture advice and coaching to people at various levels of an organisation; The ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
