Purpose of Position:
To assist and guide the relevant business unit(s) in multiple HR functions to create value and bring holistic business solutions.
Requirements:
Degree (or equivalent to an NQF 7 qualification) in HR or related. (Required)
Required Experience:
3 years or more proven HR generalist experience with a full understanding of HR best practices., Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion., Analytical and detail-oriented with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities., Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks, Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset to foster a culture of learning, adaptability and growth., Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal., High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)., Proficient in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software., Proven experience with HR metrics., Strong collaboration skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation., Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with stakeholders and team members., Strong knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation governing HR practices., Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in tracking recruitment metrics to identify trends, areas of improvement, and efficiency opportunities within the recruitment process in collaboration with the Talent Acquisition specialist., Assist with the recruitment and selection of suitable employees and work closely with the Talent Acquisition (CoE) to ensure alignment with the Talent Acquisition strategy., Consult with business unit management and provide daily HR guidance., Ensure awareness and implementation of all legislative & compliance issues relating to HR within the relevant business unit(s)., Ensure consistency in applying HR and disciplinary processes and procedures within the relevant business unit(s)., Ensure consistency within the business unit by offering relevant on-the-job training to line management for both day-to-day and complex people-related matters., Identify and manage risks associated with HR processes (e.g., leave liability, benefit administration, etc.)., Partner with the Centre of Excellence (CoE) and collaborate on the design and execution of HR programs., Support leadership development by working together with Business Leaders to identify current and projected leadership and functional capability gaps and to work on solutions that are aligned with the People Strategy and Centre of Excellence (CoE).
