Job Description


Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Honours Degree in Human Resources/Industrial Psychology) essential.
  • Min. 3 to 5 years proven relevant Human Resources Management experience in a large and complex organisation.
  • Relevant knowledge of performance management, talent management processes and policies.
  • Strong track record delivering HR functional excellence and governance relating to remuneration and benefits, master data and payroll accuracy, HR audits and controls.
  • Sound knowledge of South African Labour Laws.
  • Working knowledge of SuccessFactors or similar.

  • Ability to demonstrable a track record and skills/experience gained within a similar position, at a similar level.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the proven ability to partner and influence effectively at all levels, including the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide quality assurance of data, with strong numerical and analytical capabilities.
  • Proven planning, organising and project management skills, with a proactive and "can-do" approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressured environment, with a strong track record in delivering results and meeting business expectations.
Key Performance Areas:
Report to the People & Performance Business Partner:
  • Provide day to day Generalist P&P support.
  • Work with employees and Managers to ensure adherence to the minimum standards across the employee life cycle (hire to retire).
  • Support the implementation of the standard recruitment and assessment processes.
  • Proactively attract, source & select new talent.
  • Provide onboarding support for all people appointments for CEO and below.
  • Support talent management processes that build and sustain bench strength, drive employee engagement and retain key talent.
  • Support with developing a learning needs analysis by gathering, documenting and collating information.
  • Support the development of the training plan and provide monthly updates against the plan and budget.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for L&D events.
  • Identify training needs and individual coaching needs.
  • Work with line and P&P Services to ensure P&P systems (organograms) and employee master data is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Support the effective SuccessFactors implementation, including enhancements, and escalate issues for resolution.
  • Ensure accurate data to assist with talent analysis, succession development and retention.
  • Support improvement of labour productivity.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and support processes to close out engagement gaps.
  • Manage Employment Equity and diversity agenda.
  • Compile response to HR review and HR internal controls activities.
  • Ensure HR compliance to statutory, regulatory or policy requirements and internal audit controls.
  • Collate information for internal and external audits (including DoL, B-BBEE, BCEA audits).
  • Provide organisational design (OD) support for the Group.
  • Drive and support the P&P Business Partner change management activities.
  • Implement defined performance management processes.
  • Support employee well-being through the implementation and evaluation of initiatives.
  • Manage and maintain employee benefits processes.
  • Ensure a healthy industrial relations climate through effective interaction with key stakeholders.
  • Adhoc support for projects and initiatives.
