A prestigious specialized medical practice renowned for our dedication to excellence and patient care. We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper proficient in English to manage our financial transactions, oversee accounts, and ensure the accuracy of our financial records. The successful candidate will also serve as a Personal Assistant to Dr.The Bookkeeper will play a critical role in maintaining our financial health by handling day-to-day transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports. This position requires a high level of accuracy, proficiency in accounting principles, and the ability to collaborate with our accounting team.Key Responsibilities:

  • Recording Transactions
  • Accurately record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
  • Reconciliation
  • Reconcile taxes, payroll taxes, and bank accounts at the end of each month.
  • Financial Monitoring
  • Monitor financial transactions and prepare detailed financial reports.
  • Accounts Management
  • Process accounts receivable and payable, and handle check processing.
  • Ledger Management
  • Maintain and understand ledgers to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaboration
  • Work with an accountant as needed for financial insights and reporting.
  • Payroll Processing
  • Handle monthly payroll using accounting software.
  • Financial Preparation
  • Prepare all financial documents and reports for the Accountant.
  • Tax Processing
  • Process PAYE and practice-related taxes accurately and timely.
Requirements:
  • Education: Formal qualification in accounting is required.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of bookkeeping experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge: Excellent understanding of general accounting principles and bookkeeping software.
  • Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, with excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Financial Statements: Ability to prepare, review, and understand financial statements.
Personal Assistant Responsibilities:
  • Running errands
  • Manage and complete various errands for Dr.
  • Front Practice reception relief
  • Provide temporary coverage and support at the front practice reception, including greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing patient records.
  • Administrative Support
  • Assist with various administrative tasks, including organizing files, managing correspondence, and coordinating appointments.
  • Coordination
  • Work closely with Dr. and other team members to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
Other:
  • A reliable motor vehicle is required, as you will need to run errands for the practice occasionally.
  • Hours are 7.30am until 2.30pm Monday to Thursday .
  • Every alternate Friday 8-4
  • Salary negotiable depending on past experience and previous salary
