Job Description


RS Recruitment & Training is assisting a large, well-established, national RETAIL COMPANY to source a PERSONAL ASSISTANT to be based at their head office in PINETOWN. R24k to R35k including benefitsOUR CLIENT HAS BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR OVER 30 YEARS AND IS PART OF A GROUP OF 350 RETAIL STORES ACROSS SOUTHERN AFRICA.Applicants should have/be the following:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years as a personal assistant to senior executives essential.
  • Fully computer literate on MS Office suite.
  • SAP experience will be advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good Interpersonal, problem solving and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently without any supervision.
  • Supervisory and people management skills.
  • Deadline orientated.
  • Able to respond to incoming correspondence on behalf of the MD.
  • Flexible in terms of working hours and travel.
  • Positive attitude and team player.
Prior experience may compensate for qualifications not met and all appointments are subject to our Affirmative Action Policy.Duties & Responsibilities but not limited to:
  • Assist in compiling management reports and preparing meeting minutes and follow-up actions.
  • Assist with preparation of presentations.
  • Draft correspondence, filing and minute taking.
  • Manage complex calendars in collaboration with the leadership team secretaries/PAs.
  • Prioritise appointments and travel arrangements.
  • Act as liaison between the Managing Director and all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality regarding all matters relating to the MDs office.
  • Support the MD with special projects, initiatives, and research assignments as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Coordinate meetings, conferences and events including agenda preparation, venue booking, technical support, and logistics management.
  • Build and maintain a strong business relationship with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the leadership team.
  • Manage information flow in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Management of company pool vehicles and bookings.
  • Effectively manage and lead a team of direct reports.
  • Carrying out any reasonable tasks requested by management (ad hoc duties).
