Our client, a reputable firm based in Johannesburg North, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Personal & Commercial Underwriter to join their dynamic team. This role offers a unique chance to leverage your expertise in a supportive and growth-oriented environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing and underwriting personal and commercial insurance applications
- Evaluating risk and determining appropriate coverage terms and conditions
- Liaising with insures brokers, agents, and clients to gather necessary information and provide underwriting decisions
- Ensuring compliance with RE, FAIS, and COB regulations
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and regulatory changes
- Providing exceptional customer service and support to clients
- Proven experience as a Personal & Commercial Underwriter
- RE (Regulatory Exam) certification
- FAIS (Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services) accreditation
- COB (Class of business )
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
