Job Description

Personal Lines Underwriter with minimum 5 years' underwriting and customer service experience within a Broker environment, required to start asap with a national Brokerage based in Cape Town.Minimum requirements:

• Matric
• Relevant Insurance related qualification - FAIS & RE essential
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a short term broker environment
• Minimum 3 years' Personal Lines Underwriting exp essential

Responsibilities:

• Underwriting of new and existing policies,
• Process new business
• Renewals
• Endorsements
• Re-broking
• Policy administration
• Client liaison and communication
• Cancellations
• Business retention
• Raise premiums
• Provide assistance to Account Executives to enable them to render excellent service
• Monitor outstanding premiums
