Pest Control Technician - Cape TownFull job descriptionThe Main Purpose of the jobThe successful applicant will be responsible to ensure that the quality of Pest Prevention and standards of productivity as set by the Company are achieved within the financial budget, client satisfaction/ business retention whilst upholding the company policies and procedures.Education and Experience required:xc2xb7 Matricxc2xb7 Department of Agriculture P Qualificationxc2xb7 Fumigation (Commodities) would be an added advantagexc2xb7 Minimum Two (2) years of Supervisory / Management experience in the Pest Control service industry is essentialxc2xb7 Exposure to Industrial Relationsxc2xb7 HACCP Experiencexc2xb7 Strong technical skills and industry knowledge will be an advantagexc2xb7 Driverxe2x80x99s LicenseKnowledge, Skills and Competencies:xc2xb7 Good numeric and administrative skillsxc2xb7 Good planning, leading, negotiation, and organizational skillsxc2xb7 Good interpersonal skillsxc2xb7 Well-groomedxc2xb7 Proactive and takes initiativexc2xb7 Excellent people management skillsxc2xb7 Computer literate (MS Office)xc2xb7 Ability to work flexible hours as requiredKey areas of responsibility:xc2xb7 To liaise directly with the Regional Manager.xc2xb7 Responsible for compliance with all the regulations of the Occupational Health &xc2xb7 Safety Act and any other regulation or Act that might refer to the matter of safety.xc2xb7 To ensure that all Service Specialists are carrying out their service work as specified according to Company standards and that of the Department of Agriculture and HACCP requirements.xc2xb7 Adequate control of all the vehicle information concerning the vehicles which the respective Regional Manager is responsible for to ensure those vehicles are operating cost-effectively.xc2xb7 To ensure that all vehicles carry the prescribed range of preparations and equipment to complete the day's work.xc2xb7 To ensure that all preparations are maintained and used correctly, and rotation of stock is practiced i.e. use of oldest stock firstxc2xb7 Ensuring that the correct implementation of the Disciplinary and Grievance Procedure is in place in the Regionxc2xb7 To appraise staff by way of verbal direction and performance appraisal for supervisory level and above.xc2xb7 To adhere to Company policy and procedure (retrenchment, promotion, etc.)xc2xb7 To prepare contingency plan for strikes and stay-away.xc2xb7 Conducting Site Audits at HACCP & Netcare Clients.xc2xb7 To carry out regular inspections at all sites and review and analyze complaints received.xc2xb7 To attend regular meetings with major clients. Where these meetings need to be minute, this to be done and copies of the minutes distributed. All problems to receive prompt action.xc2xb7 Continually look for ways of improving client contact and promote the Companyxe2x80x99s full range of non-recurring business (specials) also to sell the Companyxe2x80x99s full range of services.xc2xb7 Ensure adequate control of overall equipment, including cellular phones, by fixed asset policies and procedures.xc2xb7 Responsible for the ongoing training and development needs of all staff by identifying areas where training and development are needed and bringing these to the Human Resources Managerxe2x80x99s/Training Managerxe2x80x99s attention.xc2xb7 To check that all work is programmed and executed as per the work schedule.xc2xb7 To ensure that all worksheets and Service Reports and necessary administration documents are completed as per the company requirements and filed accordingly.Job Type: Full-timeApplication Question(s):Do you have HACCP knowledge and experience?
